Advocate, partner, co-head of the Patents and Trademarks Department at KONDRAT & Partners law firm. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Jagiellonian University (master degree received from the Institute of Intellectual Property Law), and the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University. He is listed in the Warsaw Bar Association.
Andrzej possesses a wide experience in providing legal assistance to clients in civil law and intellectual property law (including industrial property law, combating unfair competition, copyrights and related rights). He also advises on matters concerning pharmaceutical law and food law, including borderline products. He represents clients in front of the Polish Patent Office, EPO, EUIPO, WIPO, administrative and common courts.
He is an author of several articles on trademarks law published on www.znaktowarowy.info, such as inter alia: „Olfactory trademarks ”, „Controversy over a three-dimensional trademark – case study on Apple’s trademark”, „Apple Inc. against registration of trademark A.PL”, „Trademark BETWIN stays descriptive for games, lotteries and bets”, “Distinctive feature of a special design of a sparkling wine’s bottle”, “The lack of descriptive character of a word mark <Little black>”. He is also an author of several articles on industrial designs on www.wzoryprzemyslowe.info, such as inter alia: “Unregistered EU industrial design – definition, features and protection”, “Common features and protection of a registered and unregistered EU industrial design”, “Claims for industrial design infringement”.
He is also a co-author of a guide „Industry property in innovative projects” (Explanator, 2015).
